Reception of the Science Council by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in January 2018 in Bellevue Palace. Each member was introduced individually to the Federal President and had the opportunity to exchange a word with him. (Here it was just about the fact that the Federal President had appealed to the CDU and SPD the day before to first examine the formation of a government...)
A pleasantly relaxed Frank-Walter Steinmeier and at the same time a festive reception followed by a digestive in the salon.

Karin Jacobs Joins German Research Council

Karin Jacobs, Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Saarbrücken, has been appointed to the German Science Council, one of the most important science policy advisory bodies in Germany. She received her certificate of appointment from Federal President Joachim Gauck in Schloss Bellevue on January 21 2016. Karin Jacobs' first three-year membership will begin on February 1, 2016.
